   A First Family usually consists of:
In the comic book series Astro City, the First Family is the name of a family of super-powered adventurers. First Family is also the title of the second novel in the Amtrak Wars series.
   The First Family is also a collection of fossils discovered at Hadar in Ethiopia, near the location of the famous "Lucy". Lucy belonged to the species Australopithecus afarensis, which is believed to be the first habitual bipedal hominid. This species lived between 3.6 million to 2.9 million years ago, eventually giving off the right evolutionary branches that lead to Homo sapiens.
